Enough Colors for a Baby Log Cabin?

Remember the great Cotton-Ease rush of 05' ? Lion Brand discontinued their cotton acrylic blend and lots of folks scrambled to hoarde, er...stash what was left. Let's just say that my mother and I share a considerable stash of Cotton-Ease. Pictured is a sample of the colors I have. Red, orange, yellow, pink, mint green, and two shades of blue. Do you think this is enough color variety for a baby log cabin blanket? If I need more shades, what would you suggest? I'm eager to take the color plunge, but I need some friendly advice. Posted by Picasa

i think its enough. the only thing is the amount that you have of each color. this blanket surprisingly eats up a lot of stash....if you run out, however, you could probably rely on your mom to loan you some more...of just stop...like i did:)

I agree with cristina, you might need more of the blue tones to finish. But I love the colors - that Cotton-Ease is wonderful stuff! One drawer of my stash is completely devoted to it. I'm jealous that you have orange, too. :)

Oh, I have TONS of the blue shades. Thanks for the encouragement. I'll probably cast on sometime this week after I finish some bibs for a co-worker.

These are sooo yummy looking. Can't wait to see them knitted up -- hope you will share that later! :) Why DID they discontinue something everybody loves and wants?

I love that stuff too, and I have a, er, stash of my own ... and want more - lol! Those colours will look so great together & it will be so dang snuggly soft!!!
Oh, gotta share, found a single (hidden) skein of white at my local Michael's, got it for $0.01 ... woohoo!!!
