Mitered Squares & Warshrag

Love the book!!! I also love mitered squares. When this yarn (Artyarns Ultramerino 8) didn't work out in another project, I had to try the squares, and I'm happy with the results; only 50+ more to go! The warshrag was fun to make, and cant' wait to try more color combinations.

Comments:
Both of them are beautiful - especially the blanket squares!

How much yarn do you think you'll need to complete your blanket? I've been putting off trying themitered squares until I found a yarn I liked... and I think I just did!

Note to April: The yardage for Ultramerino 8 is 188 yds, and I can get 4 squares from 1 skein. So for 56 squares (7x8), I'll need 14 skeins. It will be one expense blanket when it's done, but I think it will be worth it.

The UM8 looks fantastic with mitered squares! That will be an expensive blanket! (but worth every penny) ;o)

WOW! The mitred squares are stunning! What a lovely choice for the project.

Ooooooo, cool miter's!

April, look on elann and on ebay too, sometimes really good yarn deals. Ursula, I can't wait to see the blanket.

I love it! And you don't have to stripe it yourself... even better. Can't wait to see the finished product!

Thanks for all the nice comments. Elann.com doesn't have any Artyarns right now. Best price on Ultramerino 8 that I found is at DiscountYarnSale.com. You have to buy a bag of 5, but it works out to $16.50 per skein. That's cheaper than anything else online or at my LYS. It takes 6-8 weeks for delivery, but I've got plenty of other projects to work on in the meantime.
