A finished log cabin
It's been trying at times but I finally finished my Log Cabin blanket for my new nephew. I finished sewing in all of the ends about 2 1/2 hours after he was born. If I must brag, it's beautiful and the "picture frame" border described in the book worked out beautifully. The middle square is a pocket, so I'll be knitting a little bear to go in the pocket. That idea came from Vogue Knitting's Baby Blankets book.
I used Encore DK yarn with size 7 needles. I'm taking a break from log cabining for a while to work on other things but I will probably start my next Moderne Baby Blanket in mid-October. Meanwhile, I'm still cranking out dish/washcloths for friends who are moving and babies who are being born.

Erica, this blanket is very colorful and great for a baby! Nice work! Isn't it a great feeling to put it finally away and move on to other things? ;o)
What colors did you use of the Encore yarn? About how many skeins of each did you need? Details, please! Looks great!
