border question

I tend to be a very tight knitter- I try to loosen up. I need to border a baby blanket and feel this may be difficult- does anyone go down in needle size for the border?

if you are a tight knitter I believe you would want to go up a size for the border. That way the stitched would be looser than the body of the blanket. If I have this backwards, someone please let me know.

I agree with Nancy. I would go up a size or also like Kristina if you know how to crochet that would lovely too.

Someone mentioned in an earlier post working an applied i-cord border. That could be cute.
