desperately seeking blanket...
Hi all:
Sorry to trouble - but on this blog I came across another blog which featured among other lovely things a blanket which had been made out of squares of various cable patterns... the person had had "volunteers" knit the panels and then hand-dyed them all in different colours and attached them using 3 needle bindoff technique. I thought it was gorgeous and would like to attempt something similar (minus the hand-dyeing) but cannot find the blog!
If anyone knows what I am talking about, kindly drop me a line or post a response here.

Many thanks in advance,

AHA!! I found it! Go back to the Mason-Dixon blog (Ann & Kay's, I mean), go into the archives, and choose November 2006. Scroll down; it's the post that starts with details on the 3-needle bind-off using a mitered square afghan. Farther down in that post is the afghan you're looking for, I think, and isn't it gorgeous?? :)
Actually I was wrong, it's the post called "A-Grommeting We Will Go" just before the 3-needle bind-off post; it starts with grommeting potholders. :)
Oh my Kristina, I don't blame you at all for wanting to know about that blanket. It's simply beautiful. All those cables just look fantastic!
Hi all:
Thanks so much, kassia and ren! This was driving me to distraction, it really was.
Now if anyone wishes to volunteer for me... !!! ;-)
I would love to endeavour the hand-dyeing at some point as well - but for now lazily I'll just stick with pre-dyed.
Thanks again - and happy knitting! (currently working on a rug and a bag)...
