Happy Boxing Day!...

Wishing all Canadian and British bloggers a very happy Boxing Day (as well as any others who celebrate it!). I have been spending mine in pure contentment making... you guessed it!... boxes while managing to deal with a whole lot of my stash. The above is one of them. The other two are still in progress.

Or should I say... "Bowling Day"? (this Christmas has been very productive, knitting-wise!)

Now off to pig out on leftovers...

Kristina

PS. see my blog at tinathegreek.blogspot.com for more info and also more photos of the REST of the stuff I've made in the last two days!... also my log cabin in progress...

Comments:
Those look great, what was the yarn for the boxes and bowls? The log cabin looks like it will be beautiful too.

some weird comment posts, eh?
Well I just love the bowls! how did you make them? They are not in the MD book...are they?

Hi all:

thanks for your comments.

All but the green box were made with Brown Sheep Bulky. (the box with two strands, the bowls with one).
The green box was made with Brown Sheep Burly spun (which is double thickness of the bulky).

The bowls are not in the MDK book. They were from a book called "One Skein" by Leigh Radford. They are pretty much just made like you would make a hat... quite fun. Pre-felting they looked like toques.

Your boxes and bowls are fabulous!

happy knitting in 2007 :)
