Nina Shawl
I've wanted to knit the Nina Shawl since I first got the Mason Dixon book. I started the shawl in July and finally finished this weekend. I used King Tut cotton and increased the length of the finished shawl to 68 inches by adding some additional stripes. I'm looking forward to cook weather and being able to use this shawl. there are more pictures and details on my blog.

That looks absolutely fantastic! Great colour choices (I love that pattern and had doubled it and made into a blanket back in Nov/Dec of last year... but more muted colours as it was for my mother). I used Super10 (Takhi Cotton Classic in the US).
Way to go.
The King Tut also looks like a great cotton.

kristina - I love the blanket you did - I just found it on your blog. I bet it was a big hit with your mom.
Thanks! I think, however, you've inspired me to hit my Super10 stash and do a louder version of the shawl... for ME! ;-)
Your colour choices I prefer even to the original in the book - and I loved that one!

Beautiful work. I also added about 12 inches because it was way too short according to the pattern. I used Berocco Touche. Very nice.
