Conquering Fear o' Finishing

Here is my baby kimono. I used Debbie Bliss Cotton Denim Aran. I cast on 50 and adjusted accordingly. Hopefully it will be large enough for my friend's newborn.
More importantly it helped me overcome my fear of finishing. I have an amazing sweater from Debbie Bliss Wish You Were Here book all finished EXCEPT for the seaming. It stares at me and taunts me daily. It is such a yummy piece of work and I have been procrastinating for MONTHS on seaming it up.

My little baby kimono has given me some confidence...now it is up to moi ....to git it dun.

Now you can finish anything because those sleeve seams are some of the trickiest finishing I've ever done. Congratulations!

That turned out fantastic -- what a lucky baby....

Kudos for getting the sides right! When wearing a kimono, the left side should ALWAYS be on top. The only time the right side is on top is when the person wearing it is dead! You definitely don't want that kind of bad luck on a baby!

This is absolutaly gorgeous!! I've been debating about which project in the book to make first, and seeing this might have just pushed it over the edge for the baby kimono!

Great job!

I too, feel much fear when it comes to seaming. The kinomo looks perfect...I just started one myself.
