Peaches and Cream - Canadian substitute?

Hi all:

Curious if any Canadians (especially any in the GTA) know where I might find Peaches and Cream cotton or a reasonably-priced substitute? I don't buy stuff on line as I have no credit card...

Regards,

Kristina

Comments:
Have you tried Wal-Mart or Michaels?? Lewiscraft carried it, but I guess they are no longer an option. Youcould order from Mary Maxim too!!

I used to get Lily Sugar & Cream at Lewiscraft. It's exactly the same as Bernat Handicrafter, which is cheaper for us Canucks anyway. I've never seen the Peaches & Cream, so I don't know if it's a higher grade of cotton or to what it would be equivalent. Do let us know if you find some! :D

Hi, I had to buy mine in Buffalo last summer! you can try Handicrafter by Bernat, it is available at Walmart, Micheals. It is really weird because it is made by Lily in Canada!
The Bernat knits up pretty much the same, I have made quite a few warshrags from MD with it. I am in the GTA, this stuff runs for about $1.19 a ball. Hope this helps!!

Thanks, all.

I have tried some Bernat stuff, and sounds as though that's the way to go. I will let you know whether I find Peaches and Cream in my travels.

Wish me luck on my future washcloths (don't dare go mear Michaels until after Christmas for fear of spending TOO MUCH MONEY.

If you want to purchase on line and don't have a credit card, many supermarkets here sell what I think is a Visa card in $25, $50, and $100 denominations. It works just like an ordinary debit card with a limit. I believe that you can purchase refills for them. I just recommended that this morning for someone considering a purchasing from an unfamiliar foreign internet merchant, as a way to avoid potential misuse of identity and credit information.

If you are in Toronto, you can get the Sugar and Creme at the Mary Maxim store in the Yonge/Eglinton centre. It's right where the Lewiscraft used to be. Pretty good colours!
