Hello!
Hi everyone!
I just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. I have been lurking on this site since I made my first ballband warshcloth and finally decided it was time to become a member myself! I am moving from RI to FL in two weeks and decided that I need all sorts of handmade homegoods. I am making a moss grid dishcloth with crochet thread and a potholder loop rug. Pictures to come.
Random crochet thread story: When I was buying the crochet thread for the dishcloths, a woman asked me what I was going to crochet with it (since I was buying 15 balls). I told her I was going to knit some dishcloths. She looked at me in disbelief and said, "You can knit with that?" When I told this story to a friend of mine, she told me I should have told her that one can knit with wire as well. My friend said that would have blown the woman's mind! :)

Not to mention that you can knit with rags, cut -up t-shirts...hmmm that really would have blown that lady away. Too much versatility can do that to some people!
