Once begun is half done.

Here's my little warshrag in progress. My 3 year-old commented that it looked like the colors of the book. Huh, guess it does. Just happened to have some random cotton yarns on hand, thought I'd give it a try. I LOVE this thing! I'm actually washing dishes. In the summer. Har!

Your 3 year old is very intuitive, and impresses me with his/her color cognitive-ness (if that is a word!). You should be just as proud or more, of your future knitter as you are of your cute warshcloth! I am impressed of both!!
