Log Cabin Love

Check out the beginnings of my Cotton-Ease log cabin. It was the perfect project for last night's TV knitting marathon. Two hours of American Idol and then two of Lost... at least I have the blanket to show for it. Soul Patrol! Posted by Picasa

The colors are so cheery...nice!

too funny. I did not make it through lost but I did (almost) whip through a baby kimono during American Idol. Katherine and Meatloaf in a duet? It doesn't get any weirder than that:)

Ooooh, I'd love to see that bathmat Suzanne. What yarn are you using?

I love your colors! It's going to be really nice! How big are you planning on doing it?

Have fun!

I love these colors and would love to get some of this yarn. What brand is Cotton Ease? Thanks. It's going to be an awesome blanket. --Sally

Wow! That's so bright and happy looking. Love it!

Yes, please post what Cotton Easy is (brand?). Can't find good colors of any cotton-y yarn locally. The colors you used here are very nice! Thanks. (Please post how it looks later???)

Oh! It's going to be amazing!

Thanks for the compliments! This is going to be a baby blanket for a friend who is having a boy this fall. Cotton-Ease was discontinued by Lion Brand last summer, but I understand that K1C2 Second Time Cotton and Rowan All Seasons Cotton are very similar. I'm also interested in trying Knit Picks Shine and Shine Worsted. Has anyone tried Shine?

I just bought cottonease from Smilies, they carry some discontinued yarns for cheap. I bought all the colors and THEN I read in MD not to use primaries or black or white :-( I was so sad, then I found your pictures and I'm happy again. I think it will look nice, at least yours does. I'm going to do the miter square blanket though, so we'll see.
