My Kimono!
(I always hear "My Sharona" in my head when I say that!)
Here is my finished Kimono - first shaped piece, first with all those increases and decreases, first Mattress Seam (which turned out great!), first gifted knit!
I decided on Stockinette and didn't factor in the size difference, length-wise, so I just added a crochet chain tie in the inside and one on the outside.
The expectant mother received it today and was just tickled!

Your kimono is lovely--but now I have "My Sharona" in my head and will now every time I think about the kimono. Not sure if that is a good or bad thing!
I had the same problem with my kimono, but I am still plugging ahead. I had REALLY wanted to use cute little buttons, but I don't think I have room for more than one due to increases taking up the entire front. But I may just use ties- inside and out. That is a great idea.
