Lidded Felted Bobble Boxes
Presenting my latest creation, inspired by MD felted boxes. I wanted to make some felted bobbles like on the Noni Bobble Bag, but I wasn't sure I'd like them on the side of a box, so I decided to add a lid by knitting one more panel, with increases on each side to make sure it overlaps the sides, and put a bobble on top. I'd never made bobbles before (I learned from a great diy Network video link on this page - scroll down to the middle for bobbles). I still don't think I could knit enough bobbles to make the Noni bag, but knitting one is kinda fun.
I've got other bits of colors for more bobbles left over from my big felted boxes, so guess what everyone I know is getting for Christmas!

Those are brilliant! Very clever of you. I love that they have "lids". Super cute!!!
Great for gifts. You can hide little surprises inside;)
Great job!

Are these big? Is that a regular dresser in the back? Well done - love the lids and just might have to make one too.
They're small, about 4 by 4 by 3 1/2 inches high, just about 1 skein of Lamb's Pride Bulky (doubled) each. That's not a real dresser behind them, just my jewelry box on top of my dresser. I should have photographed them with something to show the scale!
Wow! Holy optical illusion, Batman!
They looked like they were the size of hampers!
LOL!
Well, now they are even cuter, knowing how little they are!
