Chevron Stripes help

Is there any errors in this pattern? or is it just me?? LOL I tried 4 times to start this handtowel and it is'nt working out, i'm casting on the correct amount and following the pattern as written in the book but there is always extra stitches at the end when there should only be 5 after the last repeat, i've gotten 6 once and 7 the other times and if i cast on the fewer stitches it still did'nt work out right HELP please!!!! Thank-you

If you have the first edition of the book there's an error, which is corrected on the errata page (building a better pattern) on the MDK website. Here's the info:

Row 6 (RS): Using B, k5, *k2tog, k2, kfb in next two sts, SKP; rep from * to last 5 sts, k5
